Mackynsie McKedy is a talented and accomplished young woman who hails from McLoud, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Byron and Tracie McKedy and is currently a junior at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
In 2024, Mackynsie won the title of Miss SWOSU and went on to compete in the 2024 Miss Oklahoma competition as Miss Weatherford. In addition to her pageant success, Mackynsie is also an award-winning country music recording artist and fiddler, regularly performing throughout Oklahoma, including Lincoln County. Her talents were recognized at the 2024 Miss Oklahoma Competition where she won the Preliminary Rookie Talent and Overall Talent awards and was named Rookie of the Year and was a Top 15 semifinalist.
Mackynsie is not only gifted in the arts, but also has a passion for giving back to her community. She was awarded Community Service on The Rise at the 2024 state competition for her service initiative "Melodies Making a Difference" which aims to raise awareness for the benefits of Music Therapy. She plans to spread this message through presentations at schools, nursing homes, hospitals, and civic events throughout Lincoln County. She has recently partnered with Angelina's Song, which is a 501(c)(3) Non Profit organization who strives to inspire others through music and who provides grants to children's hospitals to support Music Therapy programs, and annually contributes to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation for Research and awards scholarships to Music Therapy majors of an AMTA approved school.
Other accomplishments include being the 2020 McLoud Blackberry Queen; 2021 Best Musician in Eastern Oklahoma County; CountryBeatsRadio Female Entertainer of the Year and Song of the Year for 2023; CMA of Texas 2024 Rising Star and the Josie Music Awards Songwriter Achievement Award for 2023.
Mackynsie started playing the fiddle and singing with her family at age six. Now as a songwriter and performer she has opened for Diamond Rio, Gene Watson, Johnny Rodriquez, Mason Ramsey and Grammy Award Winner, the late Bobby Flores. She has shared the stage with renowned fiddlers Jana Jae, Jimmy Mattingly, Dale Watson, Scott Joss, the late Byron Berline and the late Shoji Tabuchi. Television appearances include Nashville Spotlight, Living Oklahoma and on the Penny Gilley Show on RFD TV. Some of the notable venues Mackynsie has performed at include The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Ruidoso Downs in Ruidoso, NM, Robert's Western World in Nashville, TN, The Nashville Zoo, and The Longhorn Saloon in Fort Worth, TX.

Stroud will be represented in the Miss Oklahoma competition by Mia-Claire Jones of Morrison. The 21-year-old daughter of Susan and Tyler Jones is a graduate of Northern Oklahoma College with an Associate’s Degree in Biological Sciences Pre-Medicine. She is currently a senior at Oklahoma State University majoring in applied exercise science aspiring to attend medical school. She has always had a love for sports so she plans on specializing in sports medicine. Her dream is to be a team physician for a professional sports team someday. Mia-Claire has been competing in the Miss Oklahoma organization for 4 years and fell in love from the start. She has gained so much from this organization and is excited to continue to see what it has in store for her.
Mia-Claire’s talent is playing the piano which she taught herself off of YouTube. She also models for the Miss America sponsor Rebel Athletic.
Mia-Claire’s platform is “From Wishes to Wins” where she helps others discover their wishes and implement her strategy to achieve them. She is also a wish granter with Make•A•Wish and loves being an impact in those children’s journey.
Other accomplishments include being a Dillon International Chinese Heritage Camp featured speaker, Founder of Race Tooth the Finish: Freshman & Sophomore Regents Scholarship recipient, the Reed-Cress Scholarship recipient, Limeade for Learning Enrichment Scholarship recipient, Morrison Community Development Scholarship recipient and the recipient of Miss America Opportunity Commitment to Community Service Scholarship. Mia-Claire has been the 1stRunner up in the 2023 and 2024 Miss Lincoln County Competitions and won the title of Miss Owasso 2024. She was also the ZCBJ #46 Betterlife Lodge Miss Lincoln County Community Icon Scholarship in both 2024 and 2025.
Mia-Claire can’t wait to get into the community of Stroud and represent them on the Miss Oklahoma Stage!
Sydnee Spears
Our teen, Sydnee Spears, is excited to represent Lincoln County at the Miss Oklahoma competition. She is the 17 year old daughter of Michael and Lorrie Spears of Shawnee. She is currently a high school junior at Liberty Academy in Shawnee. Sydnee has a grade point average of 4.0, and began concurrent college classes at Semino

Our teen, Sydnee Spears, is excited to represent Lincoln County at the Miss Oklahoma competition. She is the 17 year old daughter of Michael and Lorrie Spears of Shawnee. She is currently a high school junior at Liberty Academy in Shawnee. Sydnee has a grade point average of 4.0, and began concurrent college classes at Seminole State College in the summer of 2024. She is active in Student Council as Secretary and on the yearbook team. Her future plans are to attend The School of Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma and minor in Broadcasting and Math.
Even though this is Sydnee’s rookie year, she is no stranger to a big stage. She has been singing and dancing since the young age of three. She has made numerous appearances at the Oklahoma Opry, Clay Cooper Theatre in Branson, and won multiple national talent competitions and pageants. Through her love of dance, she has been part of a competition team for seven years where she has won adjudications, judges awards and overall awards. She is currently an associate teacher/mentor at her dance studio, Kindred Arts Collective in Shawnee.
Sydnee is not only competitive on the stage but also on the volleyball court where she is a co-captain of the variety team. Her team won the 2024 HCAA State Volleyball championship this last fall, and Sydnee was honored to be selected for the All-State and All-Tournament teams for the third year in a row. Sydnee was also named the Conference MVP for 2024. She will continue her passion this spring playing club volleyball for the fourth year.
Fun facts about her she has made several appearances on News 4 and News 9 morning shows with David Brooks, representative of Made in Oklahoma Collation. She also has been involved in commercials for Platt College, National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Mathis Brothers Furniture.
Sydnee is passionate about helping others build confidence and focus on self-improvement over comparison. Through her social impact “Better Than Yesterday”, she aims to inspire others to embrace their own journey, share her story, and create a supportive community that values growth and authenticity.
